The custom home was delivered as a carefully considered knockdown and rebuild in Viewbank, replacing the existing dwelling with a modern, contemporary home designed to respond intelligently to the conditions of the site. The brief centred on creating a refined family residence that would maximise the potential of the block while delivering the openness and functionality expected of a custom-built home.
The home provides 33 squares of internal living and 40 squares including the alfresco entertaining area, accommodating four bedrooms within a layout defined by open plan living. A carefully considered reverse living configuration positions the primary living spaces to capture natural light and outlook while strengthening the connection between the interior living zones and the outdoor areas.
Constructing on a challenging block required disciplined planning and careful site management throughout the build. Through considered design and precise construction, the home was successfully shaped to suit the conditions of the land while maintaining the clean architectural character of the residence. Completed over a twelve-month build period, the finished home reflects the clients’ vision perfectly, with the owners describing the result as their dream home and everything they envisioned and more.
