Set within the coastal landscape of the Mornington Peninsula, the custom home was conceived as a contemporary home that responds carefully to its environment. The client’s vision centred on creating a luxury family home that reflects a modern seachange lifestyle while maintaining the architectural clarity and craftsmanship expected of a custom-built residence.
Delivering 33 squares of internal living and 45 squares including the alfresco and large pool area perfect for family use, the home accommodates three bedrooms and three bathrooms within a carefully planned layout focused on open plan living. The positioning of the home across the site was deliberate. Orientation and land use were carefully considered to maximise natural light, privacy, and connection to the surrounding landscape while allowing the interior living spaces to extend seamlessly toward the outdoor entertaining areas.
Building within this coastal location required a disciplined construction approach due to the sandy ground conditions typical of the Peninsula. Through careful structural planning and site preparation, the home was engineered to perform reliably within the environment while preserving the clean architectural form of the design.
